This article mixes several different topics together in a way that creates less, rather than more clarity. First, you argue that there is huge income inequality, then you talk about kleptocracies and corrupt regimes in which oligarchs literally steal money from the state (and the people), and then you talk about Trump.

These are all separate topics, and conflating them serves a particular narrative (rich people are evil).

All of these topics are interesting onto themselves, but insinuating that the top 1% of wealthy people are all kleptocrats is simply disingenuous. So is claiming that they are destroying democracy, for which you don’t provide enough evidence to make your case.

I also find the claim that this has never been worse in history rather suspect. Up until about 300 years ago, pretty much ALL rulers, warlords and aristocrats were kleptocrats held in power by violence.
